The Dresden Files is a series of contemporary fantasy/mystery novels written by American author Jim Butcher.The first novel, Storm Front, was published in 2000 by Roc Books. The books are written as a first-person narrative from the perspective of the main character, private investigator and wizard Harry Dresden, as he recounts investigations into supernatural disturbances in modern-day Chicago. I would actually recommend that you play the newer Dresden Files Accelerated instead. The Dresden Files RPG is based on an older version of Fate that are somewhat more convoluted than they need to be, and it sacrifices some of the beautiful simplicity of Fate in favor of an overly complicated magic system.

With that prelude behind us, let's take a look at the Fate Accelerated game. It is a variant of the Fate Core game.
